Board Organization

The Board of CCIC will have approximately 30 members representing the construction industry across Canada. Members of the Board are selected based on individual interests and abilities, rather than as delegates of any particular association, group or interest.

The Board of CCIC is an active Board and its members are expected both to provide direction on the overall work of CCIC and to participate on committees to further specific interests of the industry. Board members should be prepared to make the following time commitment:

  • To serve for a period of three years with the possibility of serving a second term. No members will be asked to serve for more than 6 consecutive years.
  • To participate in Board meetings held quarterly, primarily by teleconference. We anticipate one face-to-face meeting annually.
  • To participate in at least one committee dealing with a project or issue. This issue should be in an area of specific interest of the Board member.

Members are selected from a mix of backgrounds to ensure that the Council can address both policy and technical issues in a manner representative of the different regions of Canada and the various sectors of the construction industry.
